Rebel Catholic joins Clinton campaign
California Assembly Speaker Fabian Nuñez endorses Hillary Clinton, named co-chairman of her national campaign
 Fabian Nuñez, the speaker of the California Assembly who earlier this month drew a public rebuke from Cardinal Roger Mahony, announced yesterday that he was endorsing Hillary Clinton for president.
A press release issued yesterday by the Clinton campaign also said that Nuñez had been named one of the national co-chairmen of the Clinton for President campaign.
“After the last six years, Californians -- and all Americans -- are ready to change the direction of our country," Nuñez said in a prepared statement. "Senator Clinton is the experienced and visionary leader who is ready to lead us towards that change."
At an April 2 Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles on the second anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II, Cardinal Mahony singled out Nuñez for his support of an assisted-suicide bill pending in the state legislature. “We should be troubled that Fabian Nuñez -- who has worshipped here in this cathedral, is a Catholic -- somehow has not understood and grasped the culture of life but has allowed himself to get swept into this other direction, the culture of death,” Mahony said.
Though Nuñez calls himself a Catholic, he seems untroubled by his Church’s criticism of his support for suicide. In February, Nuñez said he was “ready to buck my church.”
Political analysts say Nuñez may help Clinton garner much-needed support from organized labor in the Feb. 5, 2008 California primary.

This is really too easy! The good Cardinal should publicly ex-communicate this "rebel" because Mr. Nunez has been an obstinate and public scandal (read: sinner). The glorious label "Catholic" should only belong to those who know and believe what the Church has always and everywhere believed and taught. All others who claim to be "Catholic" are frauds, plain and simple. Mr. Nunez needs our prayers for true conversion, as Christ has told us to love our neighbors. But that "love of neighbor" does NOT mean to accept them as they are! Rather, it means to pray that they CHANGE and sin no more! God have mercy on our country!

¿Qué busca el Sr. Nuñez? ¿Honra? Les aseguro que ya la perdió. ¿Dinero? Supongo que tiene otras vías más rápidas. Un ladrón de bancos, un estafador de guante blanco, puede ganar más dinero q; puede dedicarse a la trata de blancas, me parece un trabajo más rentable y honorable.
Recemos por él, no es consciente de las consecuencias que tiene ese don tan preciado de la libertad.
El poder enceguece, pero nunca podrá estar contento consigo mismo; tampoco tendrá el apoyo de su familia; la traición es, como en el caso de Judas, lleva a la desesperación. Ojalá, lo lleve como en el caso de Pedro, a llorar lágrimas de dolor.

So we have two agents of sleaze working closely togeather, makes it easier to keep an eye on them. Perhaps Nunez will travel with the Ambasador without pantsfolio when she sends him to foreign countries as our goodwill ladies man. Dear Lord help OUR COUNTRY.

Giovanna. Be forwarned that supporting abortion,euthanasia and a few other Nunez evil doings require an answer acceptable to the good Lord on judgement day. You are held accountable the same as he is. Know your Catholic teachings. There is no partisan attack, he is a public figure who runs for office, he does not have the right to support the killing of innoncent babies in the Womb, or old people who he deems unacceptable to his social standards.To long the silent majority has stood still and let men like Nunez destroy the America that God once showed abundant gifts to.

YOU CANNOT BE 'CATHOLIC' AND FOR ABORTION, SAME SEX MARRIAGE, CLONING, EMBRYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH AND PHYSICIAN ASSISTED SUICIDE.
