“The cult of Moloch lives on today”
Escondido priest warns “evil has acceded to power” in Obama Administration
News from the Trenches
(Fr. Richard Perozich, pastor of St. Mary's Church in Escondido, published the following commentary in the Sunday, Feb. 1, parish bulletin.)
“100 DAYS OR END OF DAYS”
The "governator" Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in a 1999 movie called "End of Days" where the devil was to come to take over the world. In the story line the devil must mate with a certain mortal if he is to escape hell and begin his reign of dominance over human hearts and freedom, to oppress people with death, pride, avarice, greed, sloth, ire, gluttony and lust. Arnold plays a man wounded spiritually and emotionally who ultimately opposes the devil who is defeated and reconsigned to hell for another 1,000 years. In real life, however, his legislation works for Satan.
The first 100 days of a new presidency is the time when legislation desired by the new leader is rammed through the congress without much discussion and over the objections of the minority party. It often is not good legislation, has been brewing in the hearts of special interest groups for years, who now have a vehicle to impose their will on the American people.
If the special interest groups have their way, it will spell the end of days for the American nation as we have known it since 1776. Abominations will be forced on us by the new government, such as which our founders never had intended, and certainly opposed to the Christian life: abortion on demand, homogenital sex, lust in all its forms, euthanasia, oppression of opportunity and entrepreneurs, silencing of faith and free speech among many.
In the old testament, God's chosen people abandoned Him and sacrificed their own innocent children to a demon god called Moloch in hopes of a good harvest to feed themselves. The cult of Moloch lives on today, but just not under the god's formal name, but in the name of abortion, or rightly put, murder of children in the womb to promote false promises, ruined lives, and degraded humanity.
Abortion is our god and Obama, Pelosi, Kennedy are his prophets. His sacrifice is the life of infants and the souls of mothers. His priests are doctors who perform abortions. His church is Planned Parenthood and FOCA, (freedom of choice act). His covenant promises rights and freedom for women. It delivers death of infants, permanent damage to the souls of women, of men, of politicians.
Homosexual lust is our god and Obama, Bishop Gene Robinson, and democratic politicians are his prophets. The sacrifice is personal integrity and corruption of the body and spirit. Its priests and priestesses are men who have sex with men (MSM) and women who have sex with women (WSW). Its church is the Human Rights Campaign and other activist organizations, Pride clubs and "gay" and "lesbian" centers. Its covenant offers false promises of equality with those who have normal sexual relations and inner peace. It delivers disease, prolonged adolescent immaturity, and oppression of the church and good people who live upright moral lives.
Money is our god, and the wealthy and the welfare are its prophets. Its sacrifice is hard earned savings and retirement. Its priests are those taking obscene profits by defrauding investors, and those who choose government money over honest work. Its church is a non vigilant Securities and Exchange Commission and congress. Its covenant promises self reliance and security in wealth. It delivers collapse of the economy, unfair distribution of wealth, and a drain on the tax system.
Socialism is our god, and Obama is his prophet. Its sacrifice is personal freedom. Its priests are politicians and communist ideological organizations. Its church are legislatures and executive branches in government. Its covenant promises fairness and sameness for all. It delivers power and wealth those who already possess it and takes away opportunity for those out of power and destroys of the economy and future for others.
Liberalism is our god and the Democratic party is his prophet. Its sacrifice is freedom, integrity, opportunity, and wholeness. Its priests are the fascist elites in government, education, and bureaucracies, who wish to control others' thoughts and actions. Its churches are political parties, universities, and corrupt professional organizations. Its covenant promises unbridled freedom for perversion of the natural law and oppression for all who disagree with it. It delivers the breakdown of society, constitutional government, and true freedom for morally minded people, especially faithful Christians.
For us Christians, these are abominations, and the people who promote them are truly overcome by evil. 2 Peter 2:19-20 "They promise them freedom, though they themselves are slaves of corruption, for a person is a slave of whatever overcomes him. For if they, having escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of (our) Lord and savior Jesus Christ, again become entangled and overcome by them, their last condition is worse than their first."
This may not be the change you wanted when you voted for new government, but it is the change you voted for if you did not clearly listen to the evil promises of the new priests of the new churches and ignored the warnings about the new evils that this government clearly promised to impose on America.
The Father is our God, and Jesus Christ is His prophet. His sacrifice is the life of His Son Jesus celebrated at Mass. His priests are those ordained and faithful clergy who teach fully the Catholic faith from the Bible and magisterium, and who celebrate the sacraments of the church faithfully according to its tradition and rites. Its Church is the Holy Catholic Church in which salvation is found in Jesus, the only name in heaven or on earth by which man can be saved, through Jesus, the only mediator between God and man who saves us by grace through faith in Him and not in abortion, homosexual lust, money's greed, socialism, or liberalism. He delivers forgiveness of sin and eternal life.
Jesus came to save us from abortion, homosexual lust, socialism, liberalism, and greed of money. He begins by gathering us into His Holy Catholic Church in baptism, giving us faith in HIM rather than the perversions and evil legacies of the world and worldly people. He fills us with His Holy Spirit in confirmation to give us the gifts of HIS wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel, courage, piety, and fear of the Lord, so that we are formed to conquer the world. He nourishes us with His Body and Blood to fortify our Spirit to hear the counsel of the Holy Spirit to reject not only for ourselves the evil legacies, but to fight for others who are under evil's influence.
So we pray each day, and worship on Sunday. Renewed in Spirit, we begin the fight for the faith and the souls of all in our country and world. We march, telephone, fax, write, protest, inform all those in power of our beliefs and interests to show them we will resist their impositions, remove them from office and employment if they pervert our nation. We began with the passage of Proposition 8. We continue the fight there, which is far from over.
Please, take the time to sign your pledge card to urge all senators and congressmen to vote against the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) which would enshrine into law the killing of infants in the womb and make it a crime to oppose it, and use your money to promote it through taxes.
Jesus has called you out of the darkness of abortion, lust, greed, socialism, and liberalism into His marvelous light of freedom. Fight for that freedom now, so that you will not be oppressed like the Christians of the first centuries. Evil has acceded to power in this administration. We must pray as if it all depends on God, and work as if it all depends on us.

In the Old Testament books of kings, some kings were recorded as going against God's will by allowing or encouraging pagan sacrifices, and some tried to do God's will by tearing down the pagan altars. But those who wanted to do good didn't have the power to do it completely, without, as we have, the Blessed Sacrament. We are still like them in that this situation only prevails because we failed to stand up forcefully, at a time when it would have been easier to nip in the bud. In particular, right after the Council, when we didn't have complete understanding of the relationship between contraception and abortion, on one hand, and contraception and homosexuality, on the other, we thought we could do what we wanted, and now we're getting burned for it. (See Ralph M. McInerny, "What went wrong with Vatican II".)

However, if we call upon the Name of the Lord and put our trust in Him, He will save us. In particular, there are certain things we can do. Become familiar with Ascenscion Press' pre-Cana course "Joy Filled Marriage". Encourage your Bishops to use it in their pre-Cana programs. Encourage Natural Family Planning. (A highly placed source says that the Bishops are relying on EWTN to catechize their seminarians, and that they are overwhelmingly orthodox and on fire.) Those brave folks who are out at the abortion facilities are the front lines, but we can be the home front, bringing up our families right, praying for those suffering the devastation around us, sacrificing and fasting for repentance and mercy. "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times". We've been so brainwashed by the consumer society and spoiled by the security of our borders, that we think of our prosperity and security as normative. That leads us towards the city of the world rather than the City of God.

Bravo Father Perozich. It's apparent this priest has been saying his prayers and God has rewarded him with the gift of courage. The only pagan god missing from his list is pornography and heterosexual lust. Let's take our rosaries in hand and get to work with Our Lady praying for our Nation.

May God bless Fr. Richard Perozich and keep him safe from the denizens of the depths who will spew forth their bile and vitriol because he has dared to defend our Catholic Faith. As the dark days of the Obamanation descend upon us , religious and lay alike, will need to man-up and speak up for what is , God's Church. God Bless.

I can already hear the screams of "hate-crimes" by the unnaturally lustful. But Fr. Perozich has laid bare the true proportionate reasons that Catholics voted for Obama - other gods.

Fr. Perozich is some priest (and, it is hoped, he says the Traditional Latin Mass). Why is this sort of writing consigned to only a parish bulletin? Why not the Washington Post? It is good to sign pledge cards, although for maximum effect, write personal letters, and be sure to FAX them to Congressional Member offices as the US Mail and emails are much delayed, due to irradiation, or an unwillingness to read anything that is an attachment to an email, so use the fax machine. The Members fax numbers are readily available. Shine the light of truth under the rocks where Ms. Pelosi, President Obama, Senators Kennedy and other Member reside. These are not Catholics and not speakers of truth -- expose them on a daily basis and they will be defeated.

The late Norman Perrin, New Testament professor at the University of Chicago, used to say that there was one thing certain in the study of the long history of Jewish and Christian apocalypticism — a 100-percent failure rate. H.H. Rowley, in his masterful book of the early 1940s, The Relevance of Apocalyptic, made an astute observation. At the time, Hitler had taken most of Europe and General Rommel had orders to march to Jerusalem, link up with the Arab allies and crush the Zionists once and for all. One could hardly imagine a better candidate for the Beast than Nazi Germany with its führer. In both the United States and Britain, the Bible prophecy movement was having a heyday. Rowley wrote:
"Yet where for more than two thousand years a hope has proved illusory, we should beware of embracing it afresh. The writers of these books were mistaken in their hopes of imminent deliverance; their interpreters who believed the consummation was imminent in their day proved mistaken; and they who bring the same principles and the same hopes afresh to the prophecies will prove equally mistaken."

Thank you Father, for telling the truth without fear. If only all our Priests and faithful Catholics would send that same message to Washington. Thae sad thing is, is that many, many Catholics have been duped into voting for these abominations. The time of the catacombs is near.

You know, first I thought this was all over the top, but he's right, and I've been saying the same thing myself about abortion and homosexuality. The problem is that the secular world hears this and just tunes us off or worse. So what do we do? This sort of message is good for the faithful because it reminds of of what it is that is out there. But for the wider public, I don't know if it does more harm than good. Any ideas?

"I wish I lived in Escondido! Wow! This priest is a powerful communicator and thinker! We need more Christian leaders like him to help rally the troops to get us out of the terrible decadent society America has become." Well, I attend this parish and because of his help I published my rip-snorting article in the Southern Cross on Prop 8. St Mary's Parish has made a huge turn around since his coming, ( which proves how vital a Pastor can be) and people come from all over to hear him, including our modern version of the Roman gladiators, S.D. Charger football players. Why, do they flock to him? Because he's one of the real heroes and stars of this end game with Satan. I have sent this to our bishop to read.

This is one of the worst written pieces I have seen. Even if some of his points are good, you have to wade through a lot of garbage to find them. I don't really see how Obama is any worse than George W on non-regulation of the SEC, and he is certainly just as bad at catering to the wealthy.

Ray, the country is in the shape it is because of secularism and a loss of our moral compass. Due in large part to wonderful leaders such as Barney Frank, Pelosi, Reid, the Clintons, Obama, Biden,Gore,Boxer, et al. Not to mention all those bastions of morality ensconced in Hollywood. God Bless.

In 1979 I wrote an extended poem displaying the various views of the religious ritual of sacrificing unborn babies to the devil. I call it a poem due to its layout, but it really was an outline of somewhere around 4 pages or so. I had just completed my UCLA cultural anthropology coursework and it appeared obvious to me as to its nature. I could probably have turned it into a doctoral thesis, had there been even one university that was concerned with exploring popular modern pagan and anti-Christian religious practices. It's got all the planks. I think most Catholics do not have the background in pagan religious studies to see it for what it is. It is similar in this regard to how difficult it is to get Catholics to see the entrenched and blatant idol worship in this nation. The old priest who brought me into the Church remarked that not many people worshiped idols. I did not reply to him, and thought he was just testing me to see my perceptions. To this day I do not know whether he was stating his belief about it.

Kristen, part of life is learning what we don't know about. It is always uncomfortable to see insights into the culture of death. I remember a scene from the book by Leo Tolstoi, where the diplomat with his green coat wanders into the aftermath of a huge battle that had not quite concluded. He sees it as surreal, with countless young men of both armies splattered about in bits and pieces, kind of like suddenly becoming very small and walking into the aftermath of an abortion, strolling about right there amidst all the gory pieces of what moments earlier had been a beautiful human with a soul. It is hard for him to grasp the value of life and the horror of death ... which is one of the things Tolstoy was a genius at conveying. It is why sometimes we have to read things over several times before we see what they are saying ... even technical topics such as math or humdrum topics such as the garden section of the newspaper have to be read a few times before we understand them.

Wow what a forward thinking, fearless priest! I was shocked that Obama during his first week in office encouraged abortion overseas and gave his imprimatur to gay marriage. Also that was a cool picture of Molech as I always wondered what that god looked like. I guess they put the babies in the slots on top and fired the oven at the bottom?

Rich) and I consider him a dear friend and true shepherd of our family. Because of (rather than in spite of) his fearless and powerful preaching and writing on the moral teachings of the Catholic Church, my husband says that we will follow Fr. Rich wherever he ministers. It is his very conviction that earns him incredible respect from non-Catholics and true Catholics!

Grace, how is Fr. Perozich treated by the diocese and by his fellow priests?
|
Posted Wednesday, February 11, 2009 12:49 PM By MarkF
Kirsten, I sort of agree with you that at this point at least, Obama has not been the cause of things like abortion, homosexuality, socialism, greed, etc. So perhaps Fr. Perozich is being too partisan. Lord knows that the Republicans have not done enough for the unborn, and are probably more responsible for the orgy of greed we've seen. But, I think that there is some reason to think that Obama will prove to be the focal point for a lot of secular and evil things that have been building for years. Obama's presidency could make the moral failings of this country permanent. Abortion could be enshrined in law even more firmly. Homosexual marriage could be made the law of the nation for generations to come. And religion could be in trouble for opposing all this. That is the danger that we face. It's still more potential at this point. But anyone who doesn't see this coming is blind.

Anyone who thinks that this time all of a sudden is the worst of times, think again. We have been coming to this point in time for a long time, and in increments. The idea that it has reached a zenith of sorts is correct, and it will be worst rather than better as we progress. It has gotten as bad as it can get, for now, but not as worse as it will get before the end. The call that this priest is making is more than valid, and anyone who tries to decrease the impact of his words is part of the problem, and part of the evil that is taking hold of the world. It has not gotten as dark as it will get. It will get darker. Take his words to heart. Pray, pray, and work while there is still some light, because there will come a time when the darkness will fall, completely. We will all be called on to answer for what we did while there was still light in the world. "Kristen" if I were you, I would re-think how bad you think Obama actually is. If you think he is "not that bad" you have fallen for his lies. Get on your knees and pray to be delivered from that darkness. It will drag you down even further. We all have to pray against this darkness, and pray to be delivered from it, so that we do not fall victim to it. Make no mistake, this priest is speaking rightly, and we must guard against the evil that is in the world, lest we fall victim to it. God deliver us from the evil that we have made, and keep us all safe. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Great letter By Fr. Perozich. Lets put pressure on Obama. See below.
Red Letter to Obama
Say NO to the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)
Fifty million red envelopes would represent the over 50 million children who have died from abortion.
Pro-life Red Letter Weekend: Feb 28--Mar 1
Get a red envelope. You can buy them at an office supply store or at a party supply store. Better yet, order 500 red envelopes from a paper supply company such and distribute them to your family and friends, and at your church. If you have a white envelope, color the front with a red crayon, and leave only the address area as white!
On the front, address it to:
President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Washington , D.C. 20500
On the back, write a message similar to this:
"This red envelope represents the blood of one child who died in abortion.
It is empty because that life was unable to offer anything to the world.
No to FOCA!"
Put it in the mail, and send it. Try to mail the empty red envelopes on the weekend of Feb 28-March 1st. Of course, you can send a red envelope anytime you want, but for the White House to get millions at once would be a powerful message against FOCA. Fifty million red envelopes would represent the over 50 million children who have died from abortion in the U.S. since 1973.
Please copy and forward the above message to all your contacts. God bless.

PA, Obama has started by making more abortion available ... have you missed this one? What do you think is next? How does FOCA sound to you? That would be his second or third big act. Other than the budget thing, he just appointed a pornography defense lawyer to be second to the new attorney general ... but then the porn lovers go easy on the homosexual activists' issues ... and I wonder why? So, PA, which of Obama's steps have endeared your heart so far?

Mr. Sawyer --I knew, of course, that Wallis was the speaker and was just lamenting how far Escondido is from Los Angeles, metaphorically speaking. For Mark from PA, I don't hate Obama, but I oppose some of his policies, finding them morally repugnant. I will never accept those policies. He grew up with a set of secular values which I fear will one day hold sway over the courts of this land. I do fear what he will do with a few Supreme Court appointments. But I do not hate the man. Yes, we do have to pray against the darkness. That's not the same as hating the man. It's simply trying to, as Paul the apostle said, to hold every thought captive to Christ -- II Cor 10:5

PA, why is it that you label anyone who disagrees with you as hating people? I think the cure is for you to go out and find something evil to hate, and then hate it with gusto. Following that, then you'd reflect on the experience for a few days, comparing hate of an evil thing to love of God and neighbor. There is a crucial difference for you to come to know. Also, do you know that part of the gay agenda is to convince the voting public that any criticism of homosexual activity is hate. They are pushing for a hate crime law.

Thank you, Father Perozich for an insightful and hard-hitting analysis of Western "civilization" and its collapse. You have focused on America, but Europe is in the same pit. Liberals will name this wake-up call pessimism, or as James T. interpreted, apocalyptic prediction. The article's analysis of the total rot of our moral values through moral relativism and the dogma of "no objective truth" never once refers to a Fundamentalist viewpoint of impending end-time doom. What Fr. Perozich sets before us is the bare truth. The emperor of moral relativity has no clothes and this powerful fool is sitting on the Supreme Court bench, in Congress, all over the U. S. Senate, in the California state capitol, and, dare I say it, in the White House. When he speaks of Moloch, Father Perozich is talking about the abyss of selfishness and godless immorality that has oppressed the once reverent and grateful spirit of Americans and has lead them to sacrifice the most vulnerable, the unborn, to the satisfaction of a political and judicial system that is hellbent on the destruction of the foundations of religious liberty and moral responsibility that this country was constructed upon. This is not about political factions or hate. The only standard we bear is the Cross and we must be willing to follow in Christ's compassionate, but unflinching footsteps. We must be willing to stand up for God's truth. I promise to support you in prayer and in action, Father. Please continue to pray for us as we attempt to stand in the breach.

Thank you Fr. Rich, you've hit the nail on the head. On behalf of the people left in the state of PA with even an ounce of common sense and patriotism, let me apologize for Defector Specter, one of the three Republicans to cave and go along with this travesty of an "Economic Stimulus" bill. It will fail to bring the prosperity it's backers promise and it will cost us far more than money in terms of our inalienable freedoms. The President takes an oath to "defend the Constitution" not destroy it! Let us continue to pray that more people wake up to what is happening and put their trust where it belongs - in God and in His Christ.

This election, priests were pitifully afraid to address abortion from the pulpits. I sat in the pews with a knot in my stomach, knowing that parishoners needed names to vote against, not this generalised "pick up election literature in the lobby." Parishoners are not news junkies generally. Over half of Catholics voted Obama cluelessly.

You rock, Father. And I bet St. Mary's does, too.
This makes me think, by way of contrast, of St. Monica's Church in Santa Monica, CA, where the names of the Schwarzeneggers -- open pro-aborts both -- are engraved on the wall as donors. They are parishioners and gave money after the church was damaged by an earthquake.
The names went up before the Governator days, but Arnold's and his wife's views were well know. And I imagine their names are still there now. No one thinks of scandal to the faithful anymore.
I bet the name of a pro-abortion politician would never appear on the walls of St. Mary's. No matter how much money they donated.

None of the priests in my parish in Redondo Beach have the guts to publish anything like this -- they're always mousy-quiet about expressing Catholic truth in the course of performing their priestly ministries. We always have cars in the parish parking lot on Sunday with the Obama for Pres sticker on them -- heaven help us all! It would be a consolation if these folks were attending Mass on Sundays and getting some moral and spiritual guidance that helped counter the concepts that they get from their Democratic leftist political indoctrination -- but they're not getting it in my parish for sure. And, Mark from PA, in case you're going to accuse me of being a Republican -- I'm not. I'm registered with a small third party, thank you very much.

MAJRDAD - I hope you check back here - if you go to church in Redondo Beach, let me recommend to you Ss. Peter and Paul in Wilmington. I live in Torrance, and it's only 15-minute drive. We have a Tridentine Latin Mass once a month at 9:30am (in place of a very well-celebrated Novus Ordo Mass), the church was built in 1930 (and so is built the way a church should be, complete with Altar rails), the sermons are pro-life and adhere to the Magisterium (three in a row on Humanae Vitae!) and we have confession during almost every Mass. Make the trip. I know the neighborhood isn't the greatest, but you won't regret it.

For those drawing comparisons to Catholics and Republicans, if you think this article is republican talking points, you have only yourselves to blame for banning the Catholics from the Democrat party. You've tossed us out, no, kicked us out, and you only allow us in your house if we offer a pinch of incense while denouncing the Pope. (Ried, Pelosi, Kennedy, Schriver et al.) The GOP is no haven for the church, libertarians look at us with skepticism and evangelicals want us to be born again, but at least it is not openly hostile to the church. After all, Its been a while since GOP activists have burst in on a Mass and hung banners from the balcony while we sat aghast in the pews. Its been a while since GOP community organizers held protests outside of church leaders' homes, screaming epithets.

Mark, Fr. Perozich was not refering to homosexual orientation but to homosexual acts. The acts are grave sin but not the orientation or inclination.
Although completely different in nature, it might help you to understand better if you compare gluttony - which is sinful; to the desire to overeat. The latter is an inclination, the other is indulging action.

MTalbot please take a moment to remove the rose-colored glasses that you have on in respect to the Republican Party. The GOP long ago gave up on any requirement that it may have had about enforcing certain higher standards on its politicians during the vetting process for selecting candidates for political office. Look at "Republicans" like our own dear Governor Arnold. Is he an example of what we Catholics should expect and support among our political leaders? Sure, there are very good ones out there like Sam Brownback and others but they have an ongoing daily uphill battle against the opposition even among their own party colleagues since the GOP no longer enforces any standards in the party of Lincoln. Take another look around.

I got here late! Didn't have a chance to read all of this until today (Fri., 13th!). So by now I don't suppose there'll be many who read this.
I grew up, was married, in a parish whose pastor never feared to speak - to VOLUNTEER - the truth. The TRUTH: any Sunday, for whatever reason he had. He did so from the pulpit, with volume sufficient to reach the rear pews with no amplicification. I've always maintained that, if one has difficulty being sure that he's in a Catholic church (what with tabernacle somewhere else, no tabernacle candle, etc., etc., etc. The answer is a matter of arithmetic. Count the candles; count the microphones. If there are more microphones than candles, it's almost certain to be a Catholic church. But, I'm running out of the permitted length of comment. May I say:"To be continued", and follow this up with further comment? The fact that I live near Escondido, and have other LOCAL observations might, I hope be of interest.
|
Posted Friday, February 13, 2009 1:04 PM By 2miltap
To continue (I hope). That Escondido parish is just a little way north of a parish in Rancho Penosquitos (part of the city of San Diego). It is named in honor of St. Michael.
In a poem titled "The Thorn", Joyce Kilmer refers to St.Michael as "the thorn in the rose-bush of God". And then he says, ".....when the Devil comes with the thunder of his might, Saint Michael, show me how to fight!".
Thanks for giving strength to a pastor north of you, St. Mike.
I hope to see something similar from pastors east, south, and west -- and from bishops, too. But I'm not holding my breath!

Thanks, Adam, I'll check out your parish in Wilmington. I've missed the Tridentine Mass for all these 40 or so years now and it'll be wonderful to participate in that great sacrifice once again. A while back I had called my parish receptionist asking when we would be able to have the TLM there. She told me that I was only the second person in the parish who had expressed any interest and told me "Oh, you're one of those traditional Catholics!" Well, I guess that I am that, although along with countless millions of other faithful Catholics I had my TLM unceremoniously taken away from me in my youth and it's only now in my golden years that I'm able to recover it. And, if it was up to our good Cardinal Mahony I'm sure that I would have gone to my final resting place without ever having had that opportunity! God Bless....

Yes Mark from PA, but homosexuality itself is responsible for the deaths of many more than all the trumped up complaints of homophobia ever have or will ever do. Add in all the spiritual deaths and the toll is in the millions in this country, in this day and age alone. I don't ever hear you say one single word about that. And why is that? You need a good hard dose of reality. You need to see for yourself what goes on when the public has looked away from this dark lifestyle. Homosexuality is a lie. Whatever you see or hear about it from propagandists on TV or in the media is a lie that they craft so that they can go on chasing after the same illusions. I talk to people all the time, away from the spotlights, who are in the homosexual life and many of them are aware that they've been lied to. They are hurting and they feel afraid to speak up. You are not doing them one bit of good by coming on here to spread homosexual propaganda that is inherently anti-Catholic.

My concern is that the anti life policies of the last Government regarding the death penalty and illegal wars ( or possibly the reckless and illegal conduct of a legal war) has left a vacuum of moral authority that the Obama regime has seen fit to fill. I am not equating abortion in all its horror to these wrongs but could it be that the legacy of Guantanamo and Abhugraib is further inhumanity to man, but this time the unborn.

The inauguration of Barack Obama has actually fueled and fanned many versions of the current apocalyptic bent to a fever pitch – whether he is viewed as messiah, or more commonly among those expecting the End – the Antichrist. The Google search string: “obama antichrist” yields over one million hits, including entire blogs, such as Barack Obama Antichrist. I am neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet but I think I can safely predict that we are in the “apocalyptic ride” of our lives in the next five years let alone the next 100 days.. the 40 years from the death of Jesus in 30 AD until the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 CE were the absolute “heyday” of apocalypticism. If ever the “end of the age” was to arrive, based on the scenario summarized in Mark 13, and elaborated in the book of Revelation, it should have been in the waning decades of the 1st century (from Nero to Domitian). Of course there are many rival periods of crisis in the West, from the late 5th century AD down through the troubled 11th through 13th centuries (Crusades, Black Plague, 100 Years War). And our parents or grandparents remember well the surge in apocalypticism connected to the dark days of the previous century (1929-1945).

Our pastor gave a beautiful sermon today. The Old Testament reading was from Leviticus and told of how people with leprosy were to be treated. In the gospel, Jesus healed a leper. Father told of how terrible it is to discriminate against people or treat them unkindly because we don't like the way they look or the way they act or we don't like their lifestyle. He said that all human beings deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. When we treat others unkindly it is like we are treating Christ unkindly. He also spoke of Father Damian and the lepers. After Mass I told Father what a beautiful sermon he gave and how touched I was by it.

Mark from PA, the true "phobia" that all should have is sin-o-phobia. It has killed - with eternal death - billions over the course of the millennia. Homosexual activity is always - no exceptions - a great sin according to Church teachings, right? *** johntapert, bad clergy is part of the punishment of a faithless generation. With only 25-30% attending weekly Mass and a similar number not truly believing the True Presence of the Eucharist, it is not surprising. It's a vicious circle. Our Lady of La Salette predicted that in 1846.

Thank you for addressing me, Mark. You say homosexuality is a lie. This makes no sense. Is heterosexuality a lie? Both are orientations. I certainly do not feel that what I say is anti-Catholic. The Catechism says that homosexuals are to be treated with respect and compassion and not discriminated against.
|

Bad clergy are just a part of the priesthood, they have always been there. I do respect those priests who are open of thier liberalism. What I find offensive are those priests who role play the conservative, but privately are either indifferent to moral issues, or more concerned with the Sunday football game, than Catholic activism.
In my world experience, the later are the majority, which is
a condition that cries out to heaven for justice.
|

Wrong, PA. Heterosexuality is not an orientation; it is the order of the human being. Homosexuality is a disorder, not an order. It is like a ship with three sheets to the wind, and no sailors willing to tie them down.
|
Posted Tuesday, February 17, 2009 5:31 AM By Fr. M.P.
Mark from PA proposes the usual relativistic lie, and it is a monstrous lie, that the very nature of a human being - male or female - is just an "orientation," that is based on the opinion of the person. Feminists follow the same general principle with their error. So we can see how such errors sink deep into the obstinate sinners today and why they are resistant to the Truth. Pray for them. It seems that God's Justice will be needed to wake them up.

JLS - One of the special things about being Catholic is that, because the body of Christ here on Earth has people of EVERY type, it is easier for us to live in a world of difference. These women - regardless of whether or not they are actually lesbians are clearly different for most people we meet in our comings and goings. Reflecting on why you "hated" them (I suspect here you're being to hard on yourself) is a good thing. Maybe the thing to do is to take you vehicles in there for service more often and get to know them as well as one can in a customer type relationship. We almost always find we have more in common than we have differences once we get to know someone a little better. For all we know they would love to exchange dog stories.

liberalism is a modern language word but I'm sure if you look well enough and are honest enough you'll find another word that matches it's definition in Holy Scriptures that would warn people to stay away from liberalism. For instance Holy Scriptures warns against homosexual acts, lusts etc etc those surely fit in the liberal agenda. The symptom of liberalism, has always came in different shapes and forms, just because it wasn't used back then it didn't mean it never existed.
|
Posted Tuesday, February 17, 2009 3:43 PM By Almond Milk
Just because someone wants to liberate one self from God's laws and commandments does not mean that liberalism never existed. It has always existed and it is what is destroying family values, it is divorce rates sky high, it is the many murder of unborn children in the face of pro-choice movement, it is the redefinition of marriage, it is what it is UGLY and deceitful.

Gay men are men and lesbians are women. Their sexual orientation does not change their gender. Not all persons have an XX or XY sex chromosome configuation. Some people are intersex and have different configurations. This is biology. I don't know what official Church teaching is on intersex people. However, some parishes are "welcoming parishes" and these people are surely welcome there.

Here in Holy Scripture Jesus says liberalism is being spit out of His mouth. In the Apocalypse He tells St John that He can work with either hot or cold, but not lukewarm. Liberalism is lukewarm. He says He will spit lukewarm out of His mouth. So, I am likening liberalism and lukewarm: Because it stands on the shifting sands of relativism; it has no foundation, but is like quicksand.
|
Posted Tuesday, February 17, 2009 7:10 PM By JLS
Grisha, I re-read my post to see if I said I hated them. Here is what I actually meant to say: It was more like a comment to PA in the sense that he often accuses those against homosexual activity to hate homosexuals. I described the circumstance to show that I could not find any hate in myself for them. At least I could not see any in my actions or words to them. One hates disorder, and thus when perceiving the disordered condition of homosexuality, one would hate it. But it is easy to mix this hatred of a disorder with the actual person and thus hate both things, the condition and the one afflicted with it. One of the benefits of these threads is to help clarify the difference. Easy example: I drive and sometimes get angry at other vehicles. But when I recognize that it is a person and not a vehicle, then I lose my anger. This is because of mixing the two different things, the condition and the one with the condition. Some people tend others who are afflicted with horrendous conditions like leprosy: They do not encourage the lepers to find ways to further their afflictions, but do all in their power to help the leper kick the condition. It's a battle between the condiction and the condicted.
|
Posted Tuesday, February 17, 2009 10:07 PM By Anne T.
Yes, people should be treated with dignity, but in the Old Testament there was no cure for leprosy and no hospitals, so people had to be quarantined to protect other people from getting the disease, otherwise humanity would have been wiped out. Even after the time of Christ, one Pope used the Old Testament quarantine to contain the bubonic plague until the reason for it was found out -- contaminated fleas on rats. Quarantining seemed/seems harsh, but it saved/saves many, many lives. Jesus did not have to quarantine because He could cure the person, and later Christian doctors learned what was causing these diseases and how to cure them. Sometimes people still have to be quarantined, but it should be done in as humane a manner as possible until a cure for the disease is found and only when absolutely necessary.

JLS just a question but sometimes I often consider liberalism to being cold for the faith because they reject so violently what is sacred and holy in God's eye's. Maybe some liberals might be lukewarm because they are liberal but try to just go along with whomever, like a cafeteria catholic would when they pick and choose what is suitable for them in regards to salvation and the faith but some liberals are truly cold for the faith because they hate and label what is good evil just so they can intimidate the faithful. I guess it depends on how we view it, help me if I'm wrong about the definition of lukewarm. Liberalism seems more cold like an atheist who is willing to go so far as to destroy crosses and goes as far as creating Darwinism. Lukewarm might be someone like Pelosi who say's she is Catholic yet goes against everything that the church teaches. Perhaps there are two types of liberals. Some lukewarm and some cold.

Grisha, the general meditation is how all sin is a spiritual leprosy. Homosexual behavior is just a particular nasty form of spiritual leprosy. Of course the physical results can be even nastier - GRIDS (which is the original name of AIDS). *** Anne T, the Bible has a three step process for spiritual lepers. If they remain obstinate you treat them as publicans - that is the quarantine. That means you don't hang out with them as close friends, but pray for their conversion. In the internet age particularly, that includes speaking the Truth to counter the lies that they spread since the modern media spreads everything quickly.

So it seems that many people see gay people as like lepers. So does the Church officially teach that straight people shouldn't hang out with gay people as friends? Are straight people supposed to avoid gay people? Father M.P. should parents accept their gay sons and their partners? What do you think? You seem to say that straight people shouldn't associate with gay people but what about family members?

Father M.P., in a way there was a blessing in my orientation. Due to my orientation, I was a chaste teen. I didn't really have impure thoughts and was repressed. Because of the way I was I also had no interest in drugs or alcohol or running around. I had more time for studying, going to Mass, volunteering, etc. Since I was different I really didn't have to deal with peer pressure. So I never considered the way I was as a disorder or a disease or "spiritual leprosy."

Fr. MP, the way I understand last weeks gospel, Jesus recognized that leprosy was a physical disease which the peoples of the time just didn't understand. He sent us Fr. (Soon to be St.) Damien a few centuries later to finally clarify matters for we fellable ignorant men and women. Similarly, the term GRIDS was coined when medical science first encountered the disease and only knew of cases in America. Relatively soon it was understood that the term as inaccurate as heterosexual cases in Africa exploded onto the scene. FYI - Friends who work with prostitutes in St. Petersburg Russia estimate that about 60% of the nice, elegant, educated, heterosexual lady prostitutes in the city are HIV positive.

Mark from PA, you say you are married to a woman, yet you keep referring to yourself as "gay". You are in deep trouble, dear. Does your wife get any of your attention, or do you just spend all your time defend the practicing homosexuals? I am sorry, but I cannot help asking that. And yes, as Tilitha Kumi said you are sometimes endearing, even though we disagree with you.

We have a cousin in Mexico who is confused and thinks she is a lesbian. She is looking for love in all the wrong places, we keep showing her Jesus and His church and we hope she hits the target well and fulfills what she is missing, and fills that healing and emptiness in Christ and in His church by choosing God. We told her that she was allowed to hang out and do family things with family but as long as she understood that her lifestyle was not acceptable in God's eye's nor in our family. She respected our families choice to honor God by not condoning her choice to live that lifestyle understanding that her partner was never allowed to attend family functions. Praise God for that. It's like a drug addict, we love them and are welcome but their drugs are not welcome in our family gatherings. It's like the alcoholics, they are loved and wanted but their excessive drinking was not allowed.

Anne T, my wife and I are both different. For privacy reasons I don't wish to discuss her. I was a virgin when I got married and have only ever been with my wife. So I am openly straight but I am bi-sexual and biologically more gay than straight. Some people assume I am gay because of the way that I look and sound but I don't discuss this with people as I am shy about it. This is just the way I was born. The one good thing about it is that I do not objectify people, either women or men, and I find this to be a good quality.
|
Posted Sunday, February 22, 2009 5:08 PM By Anne T.
My point to Mark was if I were his wife and knew that he used his homosexual temptations as a badge of honor, I would be very hurt, upset and probably angry. Everyone has temptations, but that does not make the person. We have all had dreams where we did things that we would not even consider in the light of day -- including theft, assault and battery, adultery, fornication, etc. That is not sin, unless we follow it through in reality. And the dreams do not make the person. Sometimes we need to quit sticking labels on ourselves, as if we can never change. And in the words of Obama, "Yes, we can."

|

Actually, Anne T, I do not dream about any of those things. I am a very non-violent person and I have non-violent dreams. So I don't really do bad things in my dreams. I have never dreamed about harming anyone in my dreams. I have actually had dreams about being in Church or school or about people who have died. I don't really daydream about bad things either.

I am thankful for those who are willing to speak out against what is truly evil. I am sad that the leaders in our Catholic Church, our bishops & priests, did not speak out prior to the election against the immoral agenda of those who are now in office. It sickens me to know that so many Catholics, many of them my close relatives & good friends, were so misinformed, so misguided as to have voted in the leaders we now have. I just continue to pray for all of us.

I agree with most of Fr Rich's article but i want to make this suggestion to all Roman Catholics. Consecrate yourselves and your family to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and live the daily life of communion of reparation for the forgiveness and reparation of the sins of abortion, euthanasia, war, homesexual unions, etc. Take this acronym as pledge for the conversion of all of us (including Obama and Company), CARE, CONFESSION as often as necessary, ADORATION of the BLESSED SACRAMENT where JESUS is truly present, daily meditation of the ROSARY and reception of the HOLY EUCHARIST. We may not see the changes in our lifetime but we know by faith that Jesus and Mary will not abandon us. Let us live the message of our LADY of Fatima by practicing all these four elements of the Daily Communion of Reparation. Pray for all the Clergy, especially Pope Benedict XVI.

I see nothing wrong with Fr. Richard Perozich's article. Fr. Rich is right on. If the church leaders don't speak up then people will continue to move this country into oblivion. There is evil in the world today and it is in this administration because of it's accomodation of abortion, the gay agenda and the gradual degradation of the morals of society. If the church doesn't stand up, who then? We already have many so-called catholics in the congress leading this faustian charge toward the end of America as we knew it. The Bishop should wake up.
|
Posted Monday, February 23, 2009 8:48 PM By Lynn
The Bishop needs to be aware that the flock is thinning due to too much movement to the liberal side. I joined the Catholic Church in 1964, in the last 10 years I have seen too much liberalism take over a religion which I admired. Needless to say I left the church about 5 years ago because of the non support I felt from the priest and bishops who were "open minded". The only open minds I have seen do not come from the left side. America is in decay, I hope the population can come together before we hit bottom. It is terrible that the young ones today will never know America that we once knew. God help us and help our "leaders.

Truth is never tolerated by evil men and those who speak the truth are persecuted, maligned, and sometimes killed. Any culture, through history, that allowed blood sacrifice, ceased to exist. Look at the Mayans, Aztecs, ancient biblical history, etc... those societies are no more. May God have mercy of the soul of the United States for allowing the abomination of abortion to continue. I find it sad that as Catholics we look to our parish priests to teach us and help us grow in our faith and yet so many of them have opted to hop on the bandwagon of the culture of death -- either by not speaking up against it or taking a half-hearted stance for life. Fr. Perozich’s words are a test for our hearts.
They either will make you wonder if he is a fanatical religious zealot on a rampage for personal recognition or “the voice of one crying in the desert” of a nation which seems to desire foreclosure on freedom and the faith of their fathers rather than recognize and resist evil in our society and its political leadership.
For all who have or will read his words of truth and light as written here and do not heed the call for personal and collective action in the name of Christian responsibility to assist the Church of Christ in the salvation of all mankind, the prayer of our Lord will not suffice for them. “Forgive them Father for they know not what they do” will not apply to those who reject Fr. Perozich’s plea or stand idly by while our Christian values are destroyed one by one and evil continues to infiltrate our public and private lives.
Lord protect and watch over Fr. Perzich , his message, and those who understand the wisdom of his words.

"And the truth shall make you free." We need more Jeremiahs with his courage! We have been cowed by "not being judgemental," but we are rquired by God to recognize evil and call it by name while still loving the sinner and uninformed. It is our duty to pray, to love, to educate and to shed light on the works of the Prince of Darkness.

GOD bless Fr. Rich... he is a noble soul; perhaps his costly grace is in the spirit of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and others who sacrificed MUCH to do what was right against GREAT EVIL. This isn't about politics, political parties, or 'getting along' this is about saving our national soul before we become more grossly slothful, arrogant, and as mindlessly silent as many iof the German and Russian elite when evil, betrayal, and horror run rampant in their land. People forget... the great evil does not come as a horned devil he arrives as an angel of light spreading a message that turns evil into good and good into evil. Lest we FORGET the difference between the two concepts take a page from Fr. Rich and speak out before it is too late.

As a Fundamentalist Christian I used to wonder whether the United States was Babylon, the great whore in the Book of Revelation. Now, as a Catholic convert, it is with growing apprehension I see the U.S. as at least a 'type' (in the Catholic sense of the word) of Babylon. After polluting the whole world with her abominations/evil, and bragging of her wealth/greatness when she was actually broke & naked, Babylon's judgement, you might recall, was to be destroyed in one day by fire, causing all the merchants of the world to wail because there was no one to buy their goods any longer.

Liberalism and socialism are not themselves evil. Liberalism for one is an idea free from oppression. It is contra to oppression. It supports the freedom of all ideas Christian and non-Christian. Socialism has valid critiques of capitalism. Capitalism is given to greed. Socialism in its less extreme forms is meant to temper this greed. Capitalism tempered by socialist ideas (what we have now) is not evil. Reducing the debate this way to platitudes empties our discourse of any substance. This is not constructive.

I felt maybe he had a great idea and the inthusiasm to get some of what he plans done. And it would be a good thing. Now, after reading your article, I am once again remembering those items you focused on. I couldn't shake that feeling that he was a "devil in sheep's clothing" and something didn't feel right. As a Cathollic who left the church, it is refreshing to hear someone in the church speak out about what is happening in our country. I don't think Father is condemning anyone to hell. He doesn't have that power. Sometimes strong imagery is necessary to get a point across because it seems like no one is getting it. All our freedoms are at stake, including the freedoms of the unborn and those doctors and nurses whose conscience compel them to protect those freedoms by not performing abortions. I feel sorry for you that are still asleep.

We must pray for spiritual and physical protection for Fr. Perozich. He is a saint for our times and will face fierce persecution. Pray that the Bishops in this country will follow his courageous example. If we Catholics would all stand up for the truth, our nation would not be subject to Moloch and his prophets. Let us pick up the weapons of our warfare which are not carnal, but powerful to the tearing down of strongholds. Let us increase our Mass attendance, prayerful rosaries, Adoration time and inundate this nation with the prayers of the faithful. God will hear us. He told us in II Chronicles that if his people would humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, He would hear and answer our prayers.

Matthew 7:17 states "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit." or basically a rotten tree bears rotten fruit. As Mother Theresa stated "The fruit of abortion is nuclear war."
Let's apply this to Obama. He is for infanticide, abortion, homosexual marriage, fetal stem cell research, etc. etc. etc.
It takes no intelligence to see this is rotten fruit. I think that the analogy is fairly stright forward.

On the day of my diaconate ordination, a previously ordained classmate gave me a congratulatory card in which he wrote, "Never be afraid to trust the grace of Holy Orders." Fr. Rich, thanks for reminding us that the darned thing about the Truth is that is so.....true. Thanks for trusting in the grace of Holy Orders! You have affirmed my ministry. I am proud to call you a brother priest. God bless you and keep you, and may Mary's mantle cover you.

Everybody wanting this priest to become a bishop, simply pray for this intention in either a 54-day rosary novena (I've obtained MIRACLES with this prayer campaign Google term if you don't know it) and / or in the Divine Mercy Novena beginning on Good Friday. He'll soon be Bishop Perozich, Deo Gracias!

Thank you Father for having the courage to tell it like it is. We need to hear more of the stark truth of this administration from our pulpits and from our priests. I think if we did, Obama would not have been voted in by more than 50% of Catholics. Thanks you for being a powerful voice for the unborn and for our freedom which is indeed now possibleof being lost. Thank you also for listing explicitly the evil actions of Obama, his cabinet and his party. "You will know them by their fruits."

I think the article is very well written with many hard hitting points. I'd like to point out another excellent strong homily by a WVA priest that is reprinted in Judy Brown's blog on the ALL (American Life League) website.
Other temples not mentioned are the cults of prof. sports, moviemaking, political office and the hugely excessive salaries paid to prof. athletes, actors these days and therefore costly adm. prices that common folk can't afford which lead to the personality cults/idol worship stoked by the press, media leading to orgiastic secular materialistic rites such as the Super Bowl/Oscars I have no problem with athletics/acting which can be excellent for the human person's development on many levels, but when it is raised by hype to the cult level it's another example of good things that God has given us that we sinful humans pervert from their original goodness. As examples, besides the last Super Bowl/Oscars, the news here is the signing of a Defensive Tackle by the Washington pro football team to a $100 million 7 year contract with $41M guaranteed. So if the player snaps his Achilles tendon on the first day of practice, and never even plays a game, he will make $41 Million. As a b-ball player said while he was trying to get $13 million a year, when the team was offering $10 million ... "A man has got to put food on the table." This has long reached the point of absurdity.
Think of what the budget costs for major movies these days ($100-300M) and look at the results. To run for public office a candidate has to have or raise millions of dollars to run a credible campaign ... what does that do for the quality of candidates we end up getting, what kind of integrity do they sacrifice in order to get that kind of funding (from special interest groups like Planned Parenthood)? How can we get good solid sound thinking moral candidates to run and succeed? Right now, we need to educate our children well, give good example and pray hard.

Thank you, dear and courageous Father, for speaking the truth plainly. The Church needs more priests like you! If only the Bishops would speak out as boldly and without fear of the consequences. This is how the apostles preached in the early Church: "And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and enable your servants to speak your word with all boldness...As they prayed, the place where they were gathered shook, and they were all filled with the holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness." (Acts 4: 29;31) This is what the faithful need more than ever now - BOLDNESS in proclaiming the truth and exposing and condemning falsehood!

regarding abortion- President obama led me to believe that he is in favor of abortion and against the war in iraq. In Iraq
the other side can fight back; with abortion you're killing life that can't fight back. This type of judgement leaves me very suspect on critical decisions that rest with the President.

I'm neither a Republican or Democrat, and I have another year to go before I'm old enough to vote. I am a Catholic, and I think that this article is wonderful. Very few people are willing to speak the truth and we're all paying for it. Thank you for putting all the pieces of the puzzle together and making a clear picture of the situation. Your bravery is commendable. You had my entire family cheering you on the whole time my mother was reading this aloud to us. Thank you for showing us that there is actually something we can do about this and not just sit on the sideline. We all look forward to additional writings from Fr. Richard to show with clarity what is hidden in the muck. I wish the Church had stood up before this to fight evil in every form, and I hope that she will finally stand up and lead us and our nation back to God. Thank you, Father!!!

People have become so "impaired" in their ability to discern good from evil, and many good moral people do not have the eloquence or opportunity to speak publicly in a way that would have much of an impact. Please join me in praying for an increase in "strong" priests, such as Fr. Perozich, and in gifted laypeople who can communicate the truth in a poignant way. Pray that many of these voices will rise and quickly change the course of this modern-day moral confusion. It is sad to see so many prominent Catholics in a "Spiritual Never Never Land", turning their back on moral conscience and professing to believe that "changing the truth" (e.g. changing laws that protect the pre-born and making abortive pharmaceuticals more available to vulnerable people), will solve problems. With these misinformed souls controlling legislative decissions and with media glamorizing the "easier" ways to engage in immoral behavior without the expected consequences, only God can help us to change the course of things. What about advertising spiritual counseling and a more devout spiritual life?

Judging from the comments l have read, Priests have lost the trust and confidence of many Catholics. lf Priests wish to regain the trust and confidence of Catholics they need to boldly proclaim the TRUTH regardless of the consequences. Only until this happens will Catholics place their trust and confidence in their Priests. The message has been sounded nice and loud and now it's up to Priests to be true shepherds and set the example.

For we are to "Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead EXPOSE them. For it is a shame even to speak of the things that they do in secret; but when anything is exposed by the light it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it is said,
"Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light." (Eph.5:11-14) Amen! Amen! Amen!

West Asian mythology: Moses said: ‘Thous shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech.’ It was formerly thought that Moloch, or Molech, could have been Melqart, the god worshipped in Tyre as well as Carthage, its colony. A Roman author records that in Carthage there was a bronze statue of a deity on the outstretched hands of which children were placed, so that they fell into the fire below. Because the Ras Shamra tablets do not mention child-sacrifice, the present view is that Molech was not a god but simply the term used for this primitive Canaanite rite. When Yahweh tempted Abraham, he said: ‘Take thou thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee to the land of land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.’ The patriarch was released from this gruesome obligation when Yahweh provided a ram instead. The ultimate sacrifice of the firstborn, for Christians, was the crucifixion of Jesus, ‘the Lamb of God’. This mode of death, which the Roman authorities reserved for the lowest criminals, originated in Canaan.

Weeel, I surely agree with most of this, as I have had a creepy feeling about this new administration since before it was established. In fact I predicted this. I have been telling EVERYONE with an ear that the United States is going to implode!! The new Rome. I however cringe when all people that are homosexual are thrown into this soup. I agree that lust is an aberration of the natural act of human sexuality, but to be homosexual is not. I cannot condemn my first cousin who by birth was this way- I knew he was different when I used to play PAPER DOLLS with him!!
I do understand however what the Father is talking about- Do not stop Padre- we must defend the faith. RR La Paz BCS

|

@ Das Reich - The Haitian earthquake was a natural tragedy. Within 3 days of office, Obama signed an executive order ending the ban on federal funds for international groups that promote or perform abortions. I suspect to give a nice chunk of "business" to his planned parenthood pals". Just recently, Obama administration trying to fund a pro-abortion constitution in Kenya. There is nothing natural about killing the innocent and to compare the two is illogical.
